What the content is

Kick & Volt publishes editorial comparisons of electric scooters built from two kinds of information: specifications published by manufacturers, and measurements published by named third-party testers. Which is which is labeled on every figure, and every source is linked and dated.

We do not test scooters ourselves. No figure on this site is our own measurement. The full explanation is on how we research this.

Accuracy and third-party figures

We take care to reproduce sourced figures accurately and to date them, but we cannot warrant that a third party’s measurement is correct, that a manufacturer’s specification is accurate, or that either remains current. Specifications change, products are revised mid-generation, and prices move constantly.

Verify anything that matters to your purchase directly with the seller before you buy. If you spot an error here, please tell us — we correct promptly and log what changed.

Prices

This site publishes no live prices. Any price mentioned in text is what a dated source showed when we read it and is not a quotation, an offer, or a representation of the current price. See the affiliate disclosure.

Safety and legal notice

Riding an electric scooter carries risk of serious injury. Content on this site — including anything about speeds, gradients, braking or protective equipment — is general information, not safety advice, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s manual or for proper training.

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Electric scooter law in the United States varies by state and frequently by city, and it changes. Our legality guide deliberately explains what to check rather than publishing a jurisdiction table that would go out of date. You are responsible for confirming your local rules before riding.

Maintenance content is likewise general. If you are unsure about a repair — particularly anything involving brakes or the battery — have it done by a qualified mechanic.
