The verdict
The short answer
The EMOVE Cruiser V2 for most buyers. It measured 46.3 miles against the VX2 Hub’s 35.6, takes 352 lb of rider against 287 lb, and stops on XTECH hydraulics rather than an unpublished brake spec (eRideHero, Sep 2026). The VMAX VX2 Hub if you have to carry it — at 57.1 lb it is 17 lb lighter, and its IPX6 rating is the best weather sealing in our commuter data (eRideHero, Sep 2026).
These are genuinely different machines that happen to occupy the same shelf. The Cruiser is a heavy-duty scooter that also has long range; the VX2 Hub is a foldable commuter that has been given an unusually large battery. Which one is right depends almost entirely on what happens to the scooter at the end of the ride.

Where each one wins
Range: EMOVE, by 10.7 measured miles
46.3 against 35.6, both figures measured rather than claimed. That is a 30% advantage, and on a route with hills or a heavy rider the gap will widen rather than narrow, because the Cruiser has both more battery and more payload headroom.
Weight and portability: VMAX, by 17 lb
57.1 lb against 74 lb. Neither is a scooter you carry upstairs happily, but 57 lb is a two-person car load and 74 lb is a ramp. If you live above ground level without a lift, both are the wrong answer and you want the lightweight round-up.
Payload: EMOVE, decisively
352 lb against 287 lb. The VX2 Hub’s 287 lb is already above the category’s usual 265 lb ceiling, so this is not a criticism of it — but if you are over about 260 lb, the Cruiser is the only one of the two that gives you real margin. That distinction is the whole subject of our payload guide.
Braking: EMOVE, on published hardware

Weather: VMAX, clearly
IPX6 is rated against powerful water jets from any direction — the top of the practical range for a scooter (Electric Scooter Guide, Sep 2026). 33.5 mph against 32.2 mph. A 1.3 mph difference is noise, and both are faster than is comfortable on most bike lanes.
